XPS 12 keyboard and touchpad not responding after screen replacement

I replaced the screen on an XPS 12 (9Q33) and after reassembly the built-in keyboard and touchpad do not respond to inputs. The keyboard is not backlit. Strange thing is that both devices show up in the Device Manager in Windows as connected and working properly. What could be the cause of this? I had an inkling that there could be a malfunctioning sensor that deactivates the devices when using it as a tablet, but I don't know where to start to even locate such a thing if it exists at all.

To receive assistance from Dell chat support, they need to verify the warranty status and ownership. Then you must troubleshoot with them.  Click the "Get Help Now" icon on the right to start a live chat session. If already out of warranty, click here for the Dell out of warranty offering.

@DELL-Jesse L ??? The computer is from 2012, of course it's out of warranty. Clicking your link sends me to the page that sent me here in the first place. What do you want from me exactly?
