Precsion 5680 - additional external fingerprinter reader?
So using Windows Hello with Windows 11 to login requires using the integrated fingerprint reader on the keyboard - all good and functioning perfectly - but what do I do when the laptop is plugged into the dock with the lid closed and I'm using an external monitor and keyboard. Yes, I know I can use the PIN, but that means an extra few clicks etc. I bought the Kensington Verimark Desktop Fingerprint Key to duplicate the functionality of the integral reader, but can't get it setup as first screen asks for Windows Password which I don't have as Windows Hello uses Biometric or PIN only. Yes, I got in touch with Kensington support, and was told that as my laptop already has a fingerprint reader I couldn't add another one.
So, that's my scenario, and I'm mighty frustrated!! All I want is to duplicate/extend the fingerprint read functionality to an external reader so that I can easily and quickly login to Windows 11 using my fingerprint when my laptop is docked with the lid shut.
Any pointers, suggestions, or advice greatfully received.

If you don't want a few extra clicks, just simply leave the lid open.
