Latitude 5530, Boot Manager question
I recently received a new Dell Latitude 5530 (2023 model), running Win 11 Pro. I use Macrium Reflect software to do image backups, and one of the first things they advise is to create rescue media and make certain you can boot from it. I used a USB flash drive to create the media, but was not able to tell the machine to boot from it. It has a much more sophisticated boot manager than anything I have seen before, and I could not figure out how to tell it to boot from the USB. Can someone walk me through how to do this?

If the third one is your flash drive, that's the one you need to boot with.

You need a UEFI-bootable flash drive (which Macrium Reflect can create), and if the OS is as installed by Dell, you must also have the Intel RAID (IRST) driver loaded. Once the drive is created, connect it and press F12 a few times at powerup -- it will appear in the boot list and can be manually selected from there.
You do not need to (and actually cannot) insert the USB drive in the boot menu inside the firmware setup.

@ejn63 I re-did the Macrium Rescue Media with UEFI support. I tried to see if that INTEL RAID driver was included, but couldn't tell. I hit F12 upon startup, and even with the rescue media inserted it takes me into boot mgr.
This is what I see:
This was taken with a phone, but you can see what I'm offered. Which should I select, and do I need to elevate that selection to the top of the boot order?

@ejn63 One aspect of getting older (I'm 69) is needing adequate light and magnification to read properly. What I was missing was the tiny USB symbol next to the appropriate selection. Once I selected the correct option it booted from the USB and gave me the Macrium restore function I was hoping for. Thanks!
