Inspiron 3582 / Pentium Silver N5000 and RAM support

According to Dell (and official Intel) documentations (including the Intel datasheet), the Pentium Silver N5000 supports up to 8GB DRAM max (whether LPDDR or SO-DIMM). Checking several models featuring this processor from other PC makers, e.g. HP, Lenovo, etc all reveal the same limit, per Intel specs. However!

I (and another user) confirmed 16GB working and fully addressable/useable (minus the small hardware reserved that exists on most systems) in an Inspiron 15 3852. I acquired this unit specifically to test this, following a user report on Reddit involving a Dell 15 3573 (very similar if not shared design) reporting and using 16GB RAM, because I was intrigued enough to find out for myself. WHERE'S THE BEEF?

The module specs are 2Rx8 (double rank), 1.2V, DDR4-2666V. The following Samsung part # all fit those specs and should be interchangible.

M471A2K43CB1-CTD

M471A2K43DB1-CTD

M471A2K43EB1-CTD

DDR4-2400T should also work, all other specs the same. Other brands e.g. SK Hynix, Micron with the same specs should be compatible but have not tested those (and no intention to). Obviously it depends on the enabling BIOS meminit and processor microcode, which some PC manufacturers may have deliberately limited! YMMV
