G15 5530 won't display 3840 x 2160 HDR 60Hz.

I've had an unproductive conversation with support. My 8930 desktop with an RTX 2060 will display this resolution. My Sony STR-DH790 AVR, Vizio M658-G1 TV, and cables work with the desktop. I believe they are all HDMI 2.0 to 2.0b compliant. I have tried certified Ultra 2.1 cables on another laptop with no luck. The G15 has HDMI 2.1. The USB-C DP 1.4 mode does it, and that port is running off the INTEL UHD GPU. I recently updated the bios on the G15 and have turned off the IGPU and I'm using the RTX 4060. The G15 will work at 30Hz.  I've had 3 or 4 laptops over the past year or so and none of them will work. I'm thinking even higher refresh rates won't work but my display is limited to 60Hz.

Tech support says everything is working fine and will not investigate further. Can anyone tell me why an older setup does something that a brand-new system cannot do? Why does the USB-C port do it and HDMI 2.1 will not?

I got this email yesterday from Dell. It says, "The resolution of the GPU in question, boasting an impressive 4096 x 2160, is indeed combined with an LCD display as well as an external monitor." Then blamed my monitor's design limitations for why the laptop can't display HDR at 60Hz. What does this statement say? It says Dell tech reps don't read email especially the subject line! I told them the laptop isn't doing what it's supposed to do and got. They know it's not the Vizio. They won't even set up a brand new AVR, Big screen TV, and certified ultra cables to see if the laptop will actually run this resolution. I'm not sure if anyone else has had this problem. Apparently not. Or if someone has a newer setup that works. It would be nice to know if, in the future, I upgraded everything to the latest tech and some laptop actually worked. Right now, I don't even know if a newer desktop will work! Does anyone use HDR for movies and/ or games? It's interesting that techs and reps at Dell could give a rip about losing an $800+ sale and more than likely future sales. It would be nicer to deal with AI.
