You can try a reset by disconnecting the battery and adapter. Then press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds. Then reconnect everything and try again. If that does not help then you basically have 1 of 3 problems. Either the adapter is bad (try another Dell adapter if possible), the DC Jack is bad, or the problem is with the MB charging circuit. Generally the DC Jack is the go to item. That DC Jack can be found at Parts-People here.
