Replacing a touch screen with a non touch screen
My district has Dell 3110 devices that are touch screen. I was wondering if you can do a 1:1 replacement of a touch screen in those devices with a non touch screen and the only functionality lost would be the touch on the screen.

If you look at the notes Parts-people.com (Dell parts supplier) has for this model, it appears the answer is no -- you can only replace like for like.

Yes, you can replace a touch screen with a non-touch screen in Dell 3110 devices. The only functionality you'll lose is the touch capability; otherwise, everything else should work fine. Just make sure to get a compatible replacement screen.
