Commercial Subscription Services with Auto-Renewal

Your term-based subscription followed by auto-renewing support ensures continued availability of support under your service contract.

Initial Service Term
You are committing to the subscription service for the duration of the initial service term set forth on your order documentation (often 3, 4, or 5 years). Your billing period, charges and fees also are set forth on your order documentation, including the following:
  • Subscription Charge: Monthly or Annual recurring charge for your service contract, including applicable tax, reflecting the subscription billing plan you selected; and
  • Service Deactivation Fee: applies if you cancel during the initial service term. This fee is equivalent to 20% of the remaining unpaid amount under the service contract for the initial service term.
Auto-Renewal Term
If, at the end of the initial service term, you have not reached the maximum support term available for your product (i.e., the “Eligibility End Date” – 4 years for Chromebooks, 5 years for Latitude, OptiPlex, Precision, Wyse, Vostro, Displays, and Docks), then Dell will automatically renew your subscription each month at the then-current monthly subscription charge until the Eligibility End Date (often 1 or 2 additional years).
  • Subscription Charge: No later than 30 days prior to the end of the initial service term, we will notify you of the monthly subscription charge. If you were billed annually during the initial service term, then you will be converted to monthly billing of a monthly subscription charge.
  • No Service Deactivation Fee: If, prior to auto-renewal, you decide that you do not wish to auto-renew, then you may cancel the auto-renewal term without incurring a subscription billing service deactivation fee. You also may cancel at any time during the auto-renewal term without incurring a subscription billing service deactivation fee. To avoid a renewal charge for the next period, auto-renewal must be cancelled prior to the renewal date. Cancelling auto-renewal does not automatically cancel your service contract. Instead, your service contract will expire at the end of the current month of service for which you have paid.
Billing and Payments
On the applicable Monthly or Annual billing day, your payment method will be charged the recurring Subscription Charge. The billing date will be approximately one month or one year after your purchase of a service contract with subscription billing.

Service Contract Terms
You may find the terms of your service contract by visiting www.dell.com/servicecontracts/global and selecting the terms for the service that you purchased. Upon expiration or cancellation of your service contract, your auto-renewing billing plan will terminate as well.
